Description
This is a complete Cold War Unit for American History. Teach students about the origins of the Cold War, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, tensions with the Soviet Union (USSR), the Berlin Wall, and more! This has been adapted to better support English language learners and special education students in American History classes.
Students will write notes and complete map activities in their guided notes packet. The editable Cold War Unit PowerPoint and note packet are engaging and informative for students in US History classes. Students will color and label maps for the countries in NATO and the Warsaw Pact, North and South Korea, and the spread of communism in Asia.
This includes Cold War Unit notes, activities, and an assessment that are great for helping all learners access grade level content in US History classes.
Includes a creative Cold War Timeline Research Project has differentiated options to best fit your students’ needs. This project comes with instructions for chunking and scaffolding so that students are not overwhelmed. The final product will be a student-created timeline.

Review US President facts with matching worksheet activities. This activity is for US Presidents #32-37, which includes Harry Truman, John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and Lyndon B. Johnson. Students can cut and paste the facts and match them to the correct president, write the answers in the blank, or complete the activities digitally.
Includes a World Alliance Chart activity. Have your students analyze different alliances around the world and how different regions cooperate. Students will research information about the 5 major world alliances on the chart.
