This is a complete Civil War and Reconstruction Era Unit for US History. Students will learn about the causes of the Civil War, major battles of the war, Abraham Lincoln, reconstruction era, 13th 14th 15th amendments, and more!
This Civil War and Reconstruction Era Unit was created to better support English language learners and special education students in American History classes.
This includes a PowerPoint, notes, a Civil War project, activities, and an assessment that have been adapted to help all students access grade level content for the American Civil War and Reconstruction!
Students will learn about the US Civil War and Reconstruction in American History with this editable presentation and fill-in-the-blank notes. Students will write notes and complete activities in their guided notes packet.
Includes a creative Civil War Timeline Research Project. Are you looking for project based learning for US History? Students will research specific events from the American Civil War such as the Battle of Antietam, Battle of Gettysburg, the Gettysburg Address, the Emancipation Proclamation, and more.
This project comes with instructions for chunking and scaffolding so that students are not overwhelmed. The final product will be a student-created timeline.
Review US President facts with a matching worksheet. This activity is for US Presidents #13-18. Students can cut and paste the facts and match them to the correct president, write the answers in the blank, or complete the activities digitally. An extension activity is included- students will write 1-2 sentences to explain what happened during each historical event. An answer key is included!
The presentation and note packet are engaging and informative for students. Discussion questions are included in the presentation. A completed note packet is also included!
