Do you need comprehensive and engaging geography lessons about North Africa and the Middle East? Then this is for you!
Students will learn about the geography of North Africa and the Middle East, such as Egypt, Morocco, Iran, Israel and more, with this teacher presentation, guided note packet, project and activities!
Include geography studies in your classroom and teach students about the cultural, physical, and economic geography of North Africa and the Middle East. These have been adapted to better support English language learners and special education students in social studies classes.
Students will label and color maps for physical features (such as the Nile River), North African countries, and Middle Eastern countries. Help all learners access grade level content with this unit that has differentiated and scaffolded options! Students will also learn about the three popular world religions in this area – Islam, Christianity, and Judaism.
Differentiated activities for famous and religious structures in the Middle East and North Africa are in this unit. Structures included in these activities are the Pyramids of Giza, Kaaba, Western Wall, Dome of the Rock, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Burj Khalifa, Suez Canal, and Aswan High Dam.
An adapted assessment and answer key is included. You can use this as a pre- and post- assessment to demonstrate student growth.
