3 Social Studies Projects to Get You Through Thanksgiving Week

Are you teaching the first 2-3 days of Thanksgiving week? Or are you one of the lucky ones that has Fall Break and gets to have all week off? If so, I’m jealous!

If you are still in school during Thanksgiving week, it can be a chaotic few days with many student absences. It’s almost impossible to teach new content during that time, so why not incorporate a project instead? Here’s 3 no-prep social studies projects to get you through the week!

  1. We get the whole week off for Thanksgiving break in our district! But I got lucky that I was teaching Plymouth and the Pilgrims/ Thanksgiving right as we got out.

So many of your products are awesome, and I can’t wait to use them. I am thinking about using the travel brochure project for different areas of the 13 Colonies. We’re going to need some time for creativity between Thanksgiving and Christmas!

    1. That’s a great idea! If you have your students complete any of my projects and take pictures of the projects, feel free to tag me on instagram or facebook (@sfseteach) and I’ll share with other teachers!
